The D. stands for Devin.

Profesh

I've been a working designer for 12 years and I've worked with movie studios, toy companies, esports teams, pharmaceuticals, startups, and hell, even a print newspaper or three. I've been in management roles for 6 years and the only thing I care about more than the work is my team. Tortured artists may make great work, but infographics are tough when you're exhausted. I take care of my teams and my teams make great work. It's as simple as that.

Fields of Experience

I'm a jack of all trades director and I like it that way. You can be the best editorial director in the world but that isn't gonna help much when a client needs retail packaging. (Okay, it might help a little, but my point stands) In no particular order, my preferred fields of design are: Events/experiential, Apparel, Packaging, UI/UX, Branding, Motion Graphics, Editorial & Layout, Illustration, and Product Development. This are the top of the stack at the moment, but it was a very different list a year ago. Who knows what'll be on it a year from now.

But who am I REALLY

While I obviously love design, you've gotta diversify if you don't wanna just regurgitate what you see in the most recent issue of CA. Outside of work, I box (for fitness. Please don't come at me, bro) and rollerblade. I'm an avid (if below average) gamer. I've got a comic collection that rivals most libraries (current favorite creators are Tom Taylor, James Tynion IV, and Brubaker/Phillips). I also love taking on craft projects. Big fan of linocut and lately, I've been teaching myself to knit (still workin on that one). I also love tabletop games and D&D (even though COVID killed the campaign I ran.) And yes, I also like a good parenthetical here and there.

Who are YOU really

Get in touch with me below to discuss your next project. Whether you have a question or just want to say hello, I'd love to hear from you.

Variably Hot Takes

Aliens are real but anyone who's seen one is lying.

Thanks for reaching out! I'll hit ya back shortly!
